When to get professional help
Get help for a sudden drop accompanied by flooding, a wet ceiling or visible leakage. Leave geyser, pump and pressure-control adjustments to the appropriate professional.
What have you noticed?
These clues help explain the problem. They do not confirm its cause.
| What you see | What to report |
|---|---|
| One tap or shower is weak | The fixture or its local supply may need attention. |
| Only the hot water is affected | Report this as a hot-water-system issue. |
| Several neighbouring homes are affected | Check the municipal supply situation before arranging internal repairs. |
What you can do now
- Note when the change began and whether it followed a supply interruption or recent work.
- Check visible areas for leakage without opening pipework, pump controls or pressure valves.
- If a fitting needs cleaning, follow its manufacturer instructions. Do not turn up a booster pump or adjust a pressure valve to compensate for an unknown fault.
Details that help us arrange the repair
- Which taps are affected and whether the issue is hot, cold or both.
- Whether neighbours or other units have the same problem.
- Any recent interruption, plumbing work or booster-pump changes.
If you rent or live in a managed building, notify the owner or property manager and agree the arrangements before authorising work. Take photos only where it is safe; you can share them when CID follows up.
What affects the repair cost?
Diagnosis comes first: a tap restriction, pipe leak and supply outage need different responses. Clarify the assessment charge before agreeing to an inspection.
Questions before you book
Does low pressure mean my geyser is broken?
Not necessarily. Whether cold water is also affected is useful information. A professional should identify the cause before parts are replaced.
Can CID repair a municipal outage?
CID coordinates property service requests. Municipal supply interruptions should be checked with the local water provider or your building manager.
